Required Ingredients

8 ounces of milk (whole milk is recommended, but almond, oat, or soy milk can be used as alternatives)
Sweetener (optional): Sugar, honey, vanilla syrup, or flavored syrup of your choice
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare the Espresso: Brew 1 shot of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. Aim for a coffee-to-water ratio of 1:2. For a bolder taste, consider using a double shot.
Steam the Milk: Pour your preferred milk into a steaming pitcher. Insert the steam wand of your espresso machine into the pitcher and activate it. Submerge the wand just below the milk's surface to create microfoam. Heat the milk to approximately 150°F (65°C). If a steam wand is unavailable, warm the milk on the stove and froth it using a milk frother.
Combine Espresso and Milk: Pour the espresso into a mug. Slowly add the steamed milk, reserving the foam with a spoon. Once the milk is added, spoon the remaining foam on top.
Optional Sweetening: If desired, mix in your chosen sweetener at this point.
Serve and Enjoy: Serve the latte immediately while hot. Optionally, dust some cinnamon or cocoa powder on top for enhanced flavor and presentation.
